Iron Man

Iron Man and the Avengers 2010 & 2011*Spoiler Alert* If you plan on seeing Iron Man, and care a lot about spoilers and such I wouldn't read this post. If you don't care for comics at all, I'd skip it.

I recently saw the Iron Man movie and while I think it was an incredible movie, this post is not a review. This post is more of a hope for the future. As many of the fanboys know, after the end credits of Iron Man, is a scene where Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) is introduced. (That Video will probably be taken down from YouTube so just search for a new one)

What I was hoping for, is an Avengers movie. My friends and I immediately started talking about how INSANE it would be to have Spiderman (Toby McGuire), The Hulk (Ed Norton), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) join Captain America for an Avengers Movie. Marvel has already set the foundation with each of these characters having their own movies. The hardcore comic fans will probably point out that Spiderman, The Hulk, Wolverine, Iron Man and Cap are just a few of MANY superheros who were / are in the Avengers at any given time. What I am saying is that those are the ones that already have a modern, live action feature film foundation.

It appears as if Marvel has been planning this for a little while. On May 5th Marvel Q1 Reports announce feature films for: Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers all within the next 3 years. Amazing.

New Video Posted

BusterI just finished my first 3D animation 'Buster'. This was my final assignment in my FPN542 Advanced Digital Animation Concepts class. Modeled and animated in Maya, I downloaded the AndyRig character and animated it, as well as modeled everything else myself. I rendered out passes and did my compositing in Shake. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to render ambient occlusion passes before it was due. Check it out in the video section.

The Toronto Star Writes About Me....sort of

My dad showed me an article in the Toronto Star where columnist Peter Goddard wrote about Toronto Life Square. Specifically, Goddard mentioned the large screen that my work plays on (my friends have actually said its running right now, I still need to get footage of this). He mentions how 2 minutes every hour are dedicated to displaying art. At the end he mentions that eight Ryerson students that have their work shown. I'm one of them =D
